CUSTOM TIMBER BARN DOORS.

Handcrafted timber barn doors, made to measure

A timber barn door can become a defining feature of a room while also solving a practical space or access requirement. Madgia Designs designs and builds custom timber barn doors in Ballarat, Victoria, with each door made to suit the opening, surrounding architecture and preferred style. Door dimensions, panel layout, proportions and overall weight are considered before construction so the finished door feels balanced and operates as intended.

Doors can be made from character-rich Messmate and other suitable hardwoods, with the timber selection guided by colour, grain, availability and the look you want to achieve. Designs may include solid glued-up panels, feature bracing or other details suited to the project. Construction details such as movement allowance, suitable fixings and the relationship between the door and its running hardware are considered during design. Finishing options include Osmo products where appropriate for the timber and intended setting.

Every project is different, so we discuss the opening size, wall conditions, preferred appearance and hardware requirements before preparing a quote. Madgia Designs can help coordinate the door design with the selected track and running gear, while the final hardware specification is confirmed for the individual installation. Based in Ballarat, we build custom timber barn doors for clients across regional Victoria and Greater Melbourne.
